Man, 36, Killed After Walking Into Path of Car

A 36-year-old Oxnard man was killed Saturday night after he walked into the path of a car. Witnesses told police that the pedestrian had been staggering across Oxnard Boulevard near Deodar Avenue just before 10. The motorist told police he never saw the victim.
The victim, Francisco Sanchez, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured, said Brian Ellison, an Oxnard police traffic investigator.
