State champion finished 48-1 in matches, including a 9-7 win over previously undefeated Gerard Contreras, the defending state champion, of Clovis Buchanan.
112--Manuel Rivera (Rosemead, Jr.)
Masters and Central Division champion was one match away from placing at state meet. He was seventh at Five Counties tournament.
119--Andrew Domingues (Righetti, Sr.)
Won the Masters and Eastern Division titles, placed fourth at state meet and fourth at Five Counties in one of toughest weight classes this season.
125--Matt Schumm (Corona Centennial, Sr.)
Followed Central Division title by winning the Masters and placing fifth at state meet. He finished fourth at Five Counties.
130--Shawn Haratani (North Torrance, Sr.)
Placed at all the top tournaments, including eighth at state meet, third at Masters and fifth at Five Counties.
135--Ricky Turk (Rim of the World, Sr.)
Postseason included five pins and four technical falls in 10 matches while winning state and Masters titles.
140--Danny Cadwallader (Brethren Christian, Sr.)
Proved Masters victory was no fluke by following it with a state championship. He finished 49-4 overall.
145--Jay Bogan (Diamond Ranch, Sr.)
Surprised many by pinning Rosemead’s Mike Gomez in the Masters finals, then followed it by placing third at state meet.
152--Christian Arellano (Canyon Springs, Sr.)
Masters champion and state runner-up was 50-3 this season. He won Riverside County championships and was third at Five Counties.
160--James Clay (Northview, Sr.)
Season included victories at the Masters and Eastern Divisional meets and fourth place at the state meet.
171--Joe Williams (Calvary Chapel, Jr.)
Won state, Masters, Five Counties and Northern Divisional championships. Finished 38-1 with only loss in the finals of prestigious Reno Tournament of Champions.
189--Kirk Davis (Arroyo Grande, Sr.)
State runner-up pinned three of five opponents at state meet and pinned three of four in winning Masters title.
215--Steve Juarez (North Torrance, Sr.)
Won at Masters and finished third at the state meet after finishing third in Northern Division and fifth at Five Counties.
Heavyweight--Arturo Basulto (Arroyo Grande, Jr.)
Capped a 47-4 season with a state title after finishing third at Masters. Set a school record with 35 falls.
