Simon Leads Bishop Amat to Victory

Adam Simon (4-0) threw a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead La Puente Bishop Amat (9-2), The Times’ third-ranked team, to a 5-2 nonleague baseball victory over No. 2 Santa Ana Mater Dei (12-2) at Cal State Fullerton. Oscar Herrera had a run-scoring double and Jordan Swayden had two hits, including a double, and an RBI for the Lancers.
