Three people pleaded not guilty Tuesday to murder and other charges in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old boy outside Hoover High School in Glendale.

Karen Terteryan, 20, Rafael Gevorgyan, 17, and Anait Msryan, 16, are accused of murder, attempted murder and street terrorism in the May 5, 2000, slaying of Raul Aguirre.

Prosecutors say Aguirre, who was not a gang member, was trying to break up a gang fight near the school.

Terteryan and Gevorgyan were assaulting a rival gang member when they turned on Aguirre, stabbing him and hitting him in the head with a tire iron, prosecutors said. Msryan, then 14, drove the getaway car, they said.

A pretrial hearing is set for Oct. 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court downtown.
