Suspect Is Arrested in Bank Robbery
An Oxnard man suspected of robbing a Camarillo bank in July was arrested Wednesday, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies found Jose Luis Villarreal, 31, at a Camarillo motel. There was a federal warrant for his arrest in the July 26 robbery of Mid-State Bank & Trust.
Villarreal is also a suspect in several other bank robberies committed in Ventura County during the past six months, authorities said.
Villarreal’s companion, Jeannette Castanada, 28, of Santa Paula, was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and drug offenses.
