Innocent Plea in Stalking
A prosecutor said Tuesday he was considering unspecified additional charges against the son of Britain’s top judicial officer.
Deputy Dist. Atty. Michael Fell made the announcement before an O.C. Superior Court judge moments after Alastair Irvine pleaded not guilty to felony stalking, vandalism and weapons charges.
Most of the charges are related to allegations that Irvine, 25, was rejected by a tanning salon worker, then stalked her boyfriend and vandalized his truck.
Irvine entered the plea through his attorney, James D. Riddet, who also asked the court to issue a gag order barring anyone involved in the case from talking to the news media. Fell argued against it, saying most of the media attention has come from Britain.
Judge Ronald P. Kreber declined to make a ruling. He said the issue should be decided by the trial judge.
