Reputed Gang Member Back in Jail After Escape

A reputed member of a skinhead gang who was bailed out of Orange County Jail in July with $500,000 in bogus cashier’s checks was returned to custody Friday after police found him hiding in a car in Huntington Beach.
Dominic Peter Rizzo, 33, was being held on attempted murder charges when a friend bailed him out on July 17. Police discovered the checks were phony 18 days later and issued a warrant for Rizzo’s arrest. The incident triggered a change in policy at the jail, which will now only accept checks during banking hours, when the funds can be verified.
