Police Look for Missing Steamboat Owner
From Times Wire Reports
The operator of the Sacramento River’s only steam-powered, stern-wheeled boat has been missing since Sunday, West Sacramento police said.
While foul play hasn’t been ruled out, it’s more likely that 78-year-old Harold Wilmunder may have fallen into the river, said Det. Mark Tingley.
Wilmunder is the owner of the Sacramento Steam Navigation Co. He operates the 138-foot steamboat the Elizabeth Louise, which is docked in West Sacramento.
