From Times Staff Reports

A man accused of pushing another off a freeway bridge after an argument over a fender-bender was charged Thursday with attempted murder, the district attorney’s office said.

Kevin Jennings, 32, who would have fallen approximately 30 feet if not for a tree that broke the fall, was released from Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena on Thursday with severe bruising, officials said.

Peter Bradley Bodenshot, 30, rear-ended Jennings on the Ventura Freeway in the Eagle Rock area and the two men argued. California Highway Patrol investigators are still looking into the suspect’s motives for the push, said CHP Officer A. W. Ahten.
