Car Kills 15-Year-Old in San Clemente

A 15-year-old boy died Monday after darting into a San Clemente street and getting hit by a car, authorities said. They did not release the boy’s name pending notification of relatives.
According to Lt. Hayward Miller, a spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred in the 2900 block of Calle Frontera about 6:15 p.m. The boy was taken to San Clemente Hospital and Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
The driver was not cited, Miller said, but the accident remained under investigation.
