The Milwaukee Bucks have multiple scoring options but needed only Ray Allen and Michael Redd to beat the Seattle SuperSonics.

Allen and Redd scored the Bucks’ first 22 points of the fourth quarter and Milwaukee pulled away for a 97-91 victory Thursday night, sending the visiting SuperSonics into the All-Star break with a three-game losing streak.

Allen scored 14 of his 27 points in the final quarter, including four three-point baskets. Redd scored nine of his 15 in the final period, and Milwaukee goes into the break having won 11 of 14 games.

“In the past couple of weeks we started to put it together,” said Allen, who played only 29 minutes because of foul trouble. “In the first 20 games, we struggled a lot but we never panicked.”

Kevin Ollie played the fourth quarter in place of Sam Cassell and made two free throws with 19.6 seconds left to give Milwaukee a 96-91 lead. After Brent Barry’s pass sailed out of bounds, Allen made a free throw with 14 seconds left.

“It’s a much harder win than you think it was,” Milwaukee Coach George Karl said. “We didn’t have a lot of energy, [but] we found some guys that were playing pretty well.”

Allen made a three-pointer, Toni Kukoc made a free throw and Anthony Mason had a baseline jumper with 2:06 left to cap a 6-0 run and give Milwaukee a 92-83 lead.

Barry made two free throws and Rashard Lewis scored on a layup with 20 seconds left to bring Seattle within 94-91.

San Antonio 83, Denver 74 -- Tim Duncan had 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists, and Tony Parker scored 19 of his 23 points in the third quarter at Denver to lead the Spurs to their fifth straight win.

San Antonio played without center David Robinson, out because of a sore knee. The Spurs then lost third-leading scorer Stephen Jackson to a sprained right ankle five minutes into the game.

The Spurs were down to nine players when Jackson’s replacement, Emanuel Ginobili, also had to leave because of a sprained right ankle with 45 seconds left in the second quarter.

The Nuggets had scored at least 100 points in two of their last three games but shot 40% and had 22 turnovers in failing to reach 80 points for the 23rd time this season.
