Man Found Dead After Attack Behind Wal-Mart in Riverside
A man was attacked and killed Thursday behind a Wal-Mart in Riverside, police said.
Riverside police found the unidentified man shortly before noon while investigating a report of a man with a gun near the store in the 2600 block of Canyon Springs Parkway, said Felix Medina, a police spokesman.
The man was found lying on the pavement near the truck loading area behind the store, he said. Although there was blood, there was no evidence that he had been shot, Medina said.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Medina said police do not have a motive or a suspect.
On Thursday afternoon, police using dogs searched the area, while the discount store remained open.
