Los Angeles Dorsey, led by junior quarter-miler David Gettis and senior hurdler Kai Kelley, overtakes Compton Dominguez atop this week’s rankings. Lancaster makes its first appearance on the basis of Kelvin’s Love’s victories in the 100 and 200 meters in the Mt. San Antonio College Relays on Saturday.

Rolling Hills Estates Peninsula and North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake each move up this week on the strength of their distance runners. Long Beach Wilson edged Long Beach Poly for the team title in the Mt. San Antonio College Relays, but neither fully utilized its top performers in that meet.

BOYS’ SWIMMING

La Verne Damien, which won the Walnut Invitational for the third consecutive time on Saturday, moves up in the rankings. Los Alamitos makes an appearance thanks to its superior depth. Loyola, with several strong backstroke and middle-distance swimmers, also is unbeaten and jumps into the rankings before its key Mission League meet against visiting North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake on Thursday.

With six teams on spring vacation last week, there are no changes in the rankings. Corona del Mar may face a challenge in a Pacific Coast League meet at Irvine University today, and Long Beach Wilson takes on Los Alamitos in a nonleague meet on Thursday. The Santa Ana Foothill Swim Games are Thursday through Saturday.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Loyola, idle for 19 days, returned to action Tuesday at Encino Crespi. San Clemente was extended to five games last week by Mission Viejo Capistrano Valley. Redondo breaks into the rankings after its Bay League upset of Manhattan Beach Mira Costa. Newport Harbor plays host to Woodbridge on Thursday in a Sea View League showdown for first place, then competes in the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions on Friday and Saturday.

BOYS’ TENNIS

After a 9-9 (84-74) road victory over Santa Barbara on Friday, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake moves a step closer to the top of the rankings. Santa Barbara was previously undefeated, with Fullerton Troy, which lost for the first time this season, 10-8, to Brentwood on April 14. Brentwood reenters the rankings, replacing the Warriors.

BOYS’ GOLF

Dos Pueblos has posted record-setting numbers since last season’s team most valuable player, Ryan Ritzau, rejoined the team three weeks ago. Ritzau shot a five-under-par 66 to lead the Chargers to a Southern Section-record 355 in a victory over Santa Barbara at Montecito Country Club on April 13. Santa Barbara San Marcos tied the record in a victory over Ventura Buena at Santa Barbara Golf Course on Thursday.
