2 Officers Injured as Pickup Hits Patrol Car
Two police officers were injured early Sunday when their car collided with a pickup truck pulling out of a bar parking lot, authorities said.
The patrol car was responding to a 911 call with its lights and siren on when it was struck by the pickup on South Street near Paramount Boulevard, police said.
One officer suffered minor injuries and the other suffered injuries described as moderate.
The 42-year-old pickup driver gave a blood sample that will be tested for drugs and alcohol. He was released pending results of the test, police said.
