E.R. Haggar Sr. -- the clothier who launched the family business to national prominence died Tuesday. He was 88. Haggar, who had suffered from pancreatic cancer, was president of Haggar Clothing Co. from 1948 until 1971 and chairman of the board from 1971 to 1991.
