Man Dies, 2 Children Hurt in 3-Car Crash

A three-car collision left a Santa Ana man dead and two children hospitalized with injuries, police said Monday.
Raul Mendoza, 25, was declared dead about 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of East 17th Street, according to officials. The children -- ages 2 and 4 and riding in another car -- were taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana with non-life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Todd O’Conner, a police spokesman. The incident was under investigation, he said.
