NASCAR Shouldn’t Be Lumped In
Perhaps it was a misguided attempt at humor, but a headline writer for the sports letters last week implied that NASCAR fans are “toothless yahoos named Bubba.”
NASCAR drivers are true role models, unlike basketball stars who get accused of rape, baseball players who use steroids, hockey players who pummel their opponents, or football players who prance and preen.
If NASCAR and its fans are toothless yahoos, then count me in.
