* Errol Hollinger and Ryan Delgado, La Verne Damien: Hollinger doubled in a run and Delgado hit a two-run homer during a three-run eighth inning and the Spartans beat Moreno Valley Valley View, 5-2, in a Southern Section Division I wild-card game.

SOFTBALL

* Megan Miller, El Camino Real: Tossed her sixth no-hitter of the season and struck out 15, and the Conquistadores beat Crenshaw, 7-0, in a City Section quarterfinal game.

* Taylor Petty and Jackie Conlin, San Pedro: Petty struck out 15 in pitching a no-hitter and Conlin’s two-run double ended a scoreless sixth-inning tie, and the Pirates, ranked No. 17 in the Southland by The Times, beat San Fernando, 2-0, in a City Section quarterfinal game.

BOYS’ TENNIS

* Michael McClune and Shimpei Suzuki, Irvine Woodbridge: McClune and Suzuki each swept their singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, 6-1, and the Warriors beat Los Alamitos, 12-6, in a Southern Section Division I quarterfinal match.

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

* Andy McGuire, Loyola: Had a three-game season-high 41 assists to help the Cubs defeat St. John Bosco, 25-11, 25-23, 25-22, in a Southern Section Division I second-round match.
