GIRLS’ TENNIS

* Claire Reitsch, Laguna Beach: Won two of her three singles sets, and the doubles teams of Katie Ochwat-Kellie Ammerman and Lorren Butterwick-Lauren Thigpen swept their sets in a 10-8 upset of second-seeded Calabasas in a Southern Section Division I semifinal.

* Pam Montes and Hillary Collins, La Quinta: Each singles player swept her three sets in a 10-8 victory over Santa Barbara in a Division II semifinal.

FOOTBALL

* Raymond Carter, Crenshaw: Gained 220 yards and scored four touchdowns in 19 carries in a 49-0 victory over Gardena in the first round of the City Section Championship Division playoffs.

* Patrick Hill, Fairfax: Rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns in 22 carries in a 30-20 victory over Granada Hills Kennedy in the City Section Championship Division playoffs.
