LSU-North Texas Is Reset
The Louisiana State-North Texas game, originally scheduled as the season opener for Sept. 3, has been rescheduled for Oct. 29 at LSU’s Tiger Stadium. The postponement was forced by Hurricane Katrina.
An Oct. 29 game between North Texas and Louisiana Monroe will be played Nov. 19, and the Louisiana Monroe-Louisiana Lafayette game scheduled for Nov. 19 will be played Nov. 26.

Tulsa safety Kedrick Alexander, who was suspended last season after pleading guilty to a burglary charge, will not be permitted to play for the Golden Hurricane this season after the NCAA denied an appeal, the school said.
