Bouncer is shot near nightclub
A nightclub bouncer was shot in the back early Thursday by an unknown assailant, police said.
The 35-year-old victim, whose name was not released, walked into the lobby of the LAPD’s Hollywood Division station about 3:30 a.m., bleeding from his wound, said Officer Julianne Sohn.
Although the victim worked at a nearby club, police said the shooting took place near the intersection of Wilcox and Lexington avenues and appeared not to be related to the club. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
