Cal State Northridge 90, at Cal State Fullerton 64: Deon Tresvant scored 20 points to lead the Matadors in the Big West Conference opener for both schools. Willie Galick scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Matadors (4-7, 1-0 Big West). Aaron Thompson had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Titans (6-7, 0-1). Fullerton’s Josh Akognon, third nationally in scoring at 25.5 points, finished with a season-low eight points.

at Oregon 86, Long Beach State 74: LeKendric Longmire scored 14 points for the Ducks (6-6), who have won two straight heading into the Pacific 10 Conference season. Donovan Morris led all scorers with 18 points for the 49ers (5-7).

at UC Santa Barbara 71, Ball State 51: James Powell scored 15 points as the Gauchos (6-6) had an 18-point lead at halftime and cruised from there. Anthony Newell led Ball State (5-6) with 14 points and nine rebounds.

at Texas Tech 72, UCLA 62: Guard Erica Tukiainen scored 16 points but the Bruins’ winning streak ended at seven games. The Lady Raiders (8-4) opened the second half with a 16-5 run to turn a tie score into a 49-38 lead. Turnovers plagued the Bruins (9-2), who had 25, including 14 in the second half.
