Drew Brees and Deuce McAllister gave New Orleans Saints fans what they longed to see after 43 days away from the Louisiana Superdome.

Brees threw for four scores, McAllister set a Saints record with the 54th touchdown of his career and New Orleans rolled to a 51-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.

Brees dismantled a Packers secondary that came in ranked third in the NFL with 176.3 yards passing allowed per game. He was 20 of 26 for 323 yards as New Orleans tied a club record for points scored. Two of Brees’ touchdowns went to Lance Moore, one for 70 yards.

“We spread the ball around pretty good,” Saints Coach Sean Payton said.

“You just saw [Brees] being very comfortable with where he was going each time and I thought he was extremely efficient -- and those guys up front did a good job for him as well.”

Brees remained on pace to break Dan Marino’s 1984 record of 5,084 yards passing in a season. He has 3,574 yards with five games remaining. He also has the Saints (6-5) feeling better about their hopes of rallying for a playoff spot now that they’ve won two games in a row for the first time this season.

The Packers (5-6) dropped a game behind Minnesota and Chicago in the race for first in the NFC North.

Quinn to have finger examined

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn will have his injured right index finger examined by noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews.

Quinn, who broke the finger and damaged a tendon on his throwing hand in a win over Buffalo last week, will visit Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., for a second opinion today, a person with knowledge of Quinn’s injury said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

Quinn is seeing Andrews on his own initiative, the person said Monday night.

ESPN.com, citing an unnamed source, first reported Quinn’s trip to see Andrews.

Suspended cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was back at work with the Dallas Cowboys, going to meetings and a practice even though he can’t suit up until Dec. 7 against Pittsburgh. Jones is allowed to do everything but play in the next game -- Thursday against Seattle -- as he works his way back from his latest suspension, a six-game penalty for violating the league’s player conduct policy. . . . Miami Dolphins wide receiver Greg Camarillo will sit out the rest of the season because of a knee injury, Coach Tony Sparano said Monday. Camarillo left Miami’s 48-28 loss to New England in the second half Sunday and did not return. He underwent an MRI exam Monday. Camarillo leads the Dolphins with 55 receptions for 613 yards.
