Update: Chivas USA Coach Preki on Saturday added another midfielder to his roster, acquiring Chukwudi Chijindu, 23, as a developmental player. Chijindu is a local product. Originally from Fontana, he played at La Verne Damien High and for four years at the University of Connecticut, where he appeared in 86 games and scored 26 goals. Veteran midfielder Jesse Marsch will be honored at halftime after playing in his 300th regular-season Major League Soccer game last week.
