No. 8 Oregon (15-15) vs. No. 9 Washington State (16-14), 8 p.m. — The winner of what amounts to a play-in game earns a shot at top-seeded California. Oregon lost six of its last nine games, but the Ducks beat Washington State, 74-66, last week in their regular-season finale and also defeated the Cougars in December. Oregon guard Tajuan Porter averages 11.9 points a game, guard Malcolm Armstead 10.4. Washington State’s Klay Thompson, an all-conference sophomore guard, is averaging 19.6 points. Sophomore forward DeAngelo Casto led the conference in blocks and averages 10.7 points.
