Huntington Beach Edison (3-0) vs. Anaheim Servite (3-0) at Cerritos College, 7:30 p.m., Prime Ticket — This is a rematch of last year’s Pac-5 Division championship game. The good news for Edison is that fins and scuba gear won’t be needed, unlike last season, when rain and mud didn’t help the Chargers during a 16-6 loss at Angel Stadium. The bad news is Edison lost a lot more players to graduation than Servite, and this is the team’s first big test of the season. Junior quarterback Chase Favreau gets to face one of the best defenses in Southern California. The Friars not only pressure the quarterback, but they also cover receivers well. And with each game, junior quarterback Cody Pittman from Servite gets better. The pick: Servite.

Mission Viejo (3-0) vs. Long Beach Poly (2-1) at Veterans Stadium, 7 p.m. — Poly didn’t want this game televised, fearing fans might stay home and it would lose ticket money. Well, the last time the Jackrabbits played a home game, the fans left for the exit quickly during a 32-7 loss to Ventura St. Bonaventure. The defense improved last week in a 23-20 win over Harbor City Narbonne, but Mission Viejo has the kind of balance to its offense that causes problems. The good news for Poly is that Tre Madden, Mission Viejo’s versatile linebacker and backup quarterback, won’t play because of a foot injury. But Poly still has to stop the running game and put pressure on junior quarterback Alex Bridgford. The pick: Mission Viejo.

Corona Centennial (2-0) at Temecula Chaparral (0-2), 7 p.m. — Centennial’s high-powered, no-huddle offense is already cranked up and hitting on all cylinders. Quarterback Michael Eubank rushed for 180 yards and passed for 200 yards last week in a 44-13 rout of Santa Ana Mater Dei. Centennial hasn’t forgotten it lost to Chaparral in last year’s Inland Division final. And don’t be deceived by Chaparral’s 0-2 start. The losses came to Oceanside and Fresno Central, two strong teams. The pick: Centennial.

Woodland Hills Taft (1-1) at Mission Hills Alemany (3-0), 7 p.m. — This matchup of City Section vs. Southern Section should produce a shootout. Taft has Arizona State-bound quarterback Michael Bercovici, who passed for a school-record 460 yards last week against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Receiver Michael Thomas has been outstanding for the Toreadors. But Alemany scored 28 points against the Toreadors last season when quarterback Vernon Adams was just picking up varsity experience, and the Warriors have opened up their offense — as Oaks Christian learned earlier this season. The pick: Alemany.

Norco (2-0) at Upland (3-0), 7 p.m. — Both of these teams could win Southern Section division championships. Norco has Stanford-bound running back Kelsey Young, who has scored nine touchdowns in two games. Upland has a top junior receiver in Kenny Lawler, plus punter-kicker Jake Van Grinkel. The pick: Norco.
