Steven Fata tripled in the fourth inning and hit a game-winning solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning and Vinny Losorelli hit two solo home runs for host Glendora (15-7). Ray Hensley and Greg Johnston each had two hits for Temple City (18-3-1).

Lakewood 8, Millikan 7
Aljay Davis scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk to Chris Cordova that capped a six-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning for No. 8 Lakewood (22-6). Michael Carp led off the bottom of the seventh inning with his seventh home run of the year to pull the Lancers within 7-3 and Mike Harris hit a two-run homer to tie the game with one out. Carp went four for four with three RBIs, Davis was three for three and Harris added three hits and three RBIs for Lakewood. Josh Williams (8-2) relieved starter Justin Wheeler in the sixth inning and allowed two hits with two strikeouts in the final two innings to earn the victory. The teams split a pair of Moore League games this season, with Lakewood winning 6-0 on March 26 and Millikan winning 1-0 April 28. Center fielder Steve Fraser went four for four with two doubles and two RBIs for Millikan (16-11), which benefited from two fielding errors to score four runs in the fifth inning and increase its lead to 6-1. Fraser singled to score Chase Raymond with one out in the top of the sixth inning to give the Rams a 7-2 lead. Danny Lyben tripled and scored on a single by Carp to give Lakewood a 1-0 first-inning lead.

Senior Terry Walsh hit a single, double, and triple and had five RBIs and junior Kevin Glass hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to lead host Loyola (12-13) in an upset over No. 25 West Torrance (19-8).

Simi Valley 2, La Mirada 1 (10 innings)
Junior Bryan Anderson hit a walk-off double to score senior Dylan Gaughen in the bottom of the tenth inning to lift host Simi Valley (20-7). Sophomore Nick Giarraputo led off the decisive inning for the Pioneers hitting a single and then stealing second base. Giarraputo was tagged out on a fielder’s choice on a ground ball by Gaughen.The next batter was hit by a pitch, moving Gaughen to second base where he was hit home by Anderson. Simi Valley tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning off a solo home run by Mario Colletto. La Mirada (19-7) scored in the sixth inning on a double by Joe Emmerling.

Long Beach Wilson 9, Gahr 8
Senior Ryan Schlack went two for three with a triple, a run scored and pitched an inning of relief with a strikeout to record the save and Spencer Pabst went three for four with two RBIs and tripled in Schlack to tie the game 8-8 in the seventh inning for the Bruins. Junior Geoff Jacobs singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh to lead Long Beach Wilson (18-8-1).

Thacher 14, Laguna Blanca 3 (5 innings)
Senior Lee Shurtleff went two for three with a double and three RBIs and Cal Jensen pitched five innings with six strikeouts for visiting Thacher (7-5, 6-1). Laguna Blanca is 3-7, 1-6.

Viewpoint 11, Avalon 7
Ryan Falck had a single, two doubles and seven RBIs for Viewpoint (14-5, 8-2) at Birmingham High. The Patriots avenged a 4-3 loss the previous night and moved back into sole possession of first place, one game ahead of Avalon with two games remaining. Falck’s two-RBI double drove in the tying and winning runs in the top of the seventh inning for Viewpoint. Brandon Kaplan had two hits and one RBI for Viewpoint. Adam Nelson scored two runs for Avalon (7-3 in league), which scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 6-4 lead.

SAN ANDREAS LEAGUE

Cajon 4, San Gorgonio 1
Senior James Kono went two for three with one run scored and two RBIsand senior James Scott pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts andone walk and went two for three with a triple for host Cajon (16-6,8-2). Freshman Andrew Tejeda went three for four with a double for SanGorgonio (15-8, 5-5).

Eric Eichhorst went one for four with a double and an RBI and Steve Martlaro (4-2) threw a four-hitter with five strikeouts for host Bishop Amat (15-7, 6-4). Tyler Hogan had a triple and Ryan Aquayo added a double for No. 15 Servite (18-7, 6-6).

Max Young went three-for-four with two doubles and a three-run home run in the third inning and Brett Kline went four-for-five with a triple and a two-run home run in the first inning for host Dunn (10-7). Midland is 0-9.

Danny Espinosa had two hits with four RBIs and Jason Schaniel went four-for-four with two runs scored and one RBI and Scott Thomson (7-2) earned the win on the mound in game one for Mater Dei (16-9). In the second game Jared Clark went two-for-four with two home runs and three RBIs, setting a school record with 10 home runs in a season, and Matt Aidem went two-for-three with a home run and two RBIs for host No. 4 Valencia (17-7). Garrett Pascolla (2-0) pitched five innings, allowing one hit and struck out four in the second game for the Vikings.

China McCarney went three for four with two home runs and three RBIs, Paul Sexton went three for four with two doubles and a triple and Jon Vitti had a solo home run to lead host Vasquez (18-3) past Arrowhead Christian (13-7).

Julian Ramirez went three for four with three RBIs and two runs scored, Mike Nash went two for five including a double and four RBIs and Courtney Montgomery went four for five with an RBI and two runs scored to lead visiting Rancho Cucamonga (18-6, 11-2), which clinched the Baseline League championship. Alta Loma is 6-7 in league.

Senior right-hander John Dunn (9-2) threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts and junior Tony Asaro had a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth for host No. 25 West Torrance (19-7, 9-2), which clinched the Bay League championship. Mira Costa drops to 16-9, 6-3-1.

Matt Aidem (7-1) threw a three-hitter, struck out five and walked three for visiting Valencia. Sunny Hills scored four runs to tie the score in the bottom of seventh inning, keyed by a three-run double by Cameron Bruce, and Steve Schneider hit a bases-loaded single in the ninth to win the game. Clark Miller (2-1) gave up one hit and no runs in 4 1/3 innings of relief for the Lancers (11-12, 6-7). Sonora is 20-5, 12-1.

Greg Cole went two for three with two RBIs and four runs scored and Zak Landrum, Devin Shepherd, and Scott Feskins each hit a solo home run for visiting Oaks Christian (16-5, 10-0). Malibu is 10-10, 7-5.

Senior Nick Schoup (1-1) pitched a two-hitter with one earned run in five innings, sophomore Bryce Cutspec went two for four with five RBIs, including a two-run home run in the fourth inning and a bases-loaded triple in the first inning, and senior Robert Kerry went two for three with two RBIs and three runs scored to lift host Westminster (15-8-1, 8-2). Ben Struska (5-2) struck out 14 and allowed five hits and no walks over seven innings to lead host Kern Valley (11-9-1, 5-3), which clinched a playoff berth. Desert is 6-12, 1-7.

Three consecutive one-out singles by Dominick Trajano, Jameal Jempson and Jeremy Bamsey, whose third hit drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning, gave Moreno Valley (12-11, 6-7) the victory. Valley View (10-14, 4-9), which was a runner-up in the section playoffs last season, has been eliminated from postseason play. Moreno Valley is battling Canyon Springs for third place in league with two games to play.

Mark Hooikaika scored the winning run on a single by Adam Nelson with two outs in the top of the eighth inning for Avalon (9-6, 7-2). Marcus Romo doubled and scored on a single by Justin Hernandez to score the Lancers’ first run in the top of the eighth inning. Viewpoint (7-2 in league) tied the game 2-2 with back-to-back singles in the bottom of the fifth inning and pulled within one run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Steve Marks went four for four with two home runs, three runs scored and five RBIs, Max Puro went three for five with two runs scored and sophomore Adam Frank went three for four with a triple, a stolen base and four RBIs to lead visiting Windward (9-7, 8-4). Gregg Marmaro pitched four innings of relief, allowed one run and struck out three to record the win for the Wildcats.

Billy Butler singled, doubled, tripled, had three RBIs and scored three runs and John Bostwick (4-0) allowed five hits and struck out three in 4 2/3 innings for No. 21 Moorpark (17-9, 9-4), which broke a scoreless tie with nine runs in the bottom of the third inning. Cody Fierro hit his seventh home run of the season and Chuckie Fick had an RBI single to extend his hitting streak to 13 games for Newbury Park (11-15, 4-9).

Bryan Anderson drove in four runs and Steven Schultze had a run-scoring double for visiting Simi Valley (19-7, 8-5), which clinched a playoff berth. Anderson had a two-run double, a one-run double and a sacrifice fly. Royal is 6-7 in league.

Michael Notaro and Kyle Griffith each had a two-run home run and James Ball (1-0) threw five scoreless inning to pick up the win for host Westlake (11-15, 5-8). Agoura is 5-8 in league.

Michael Gilmartin (7-1) hit a home run on the first pitch of the game and allowed eight hits in six innings for No. 3 Crespi (21-4, 9-1). Sean Camacho had a solo home run and Nick Santoro had four hits, including a run-scoring double, for Crespi. Frank Pfister and Jordan Neyer each had four hits for host Harvard-Westlake (11-12-1, 3-7).

Chad Hofheinz (6-3) allowed two hits, struck out two and walked one in six innings to pick up the victory for host Valley Christian (14-8-1, 3-3). Teammate Ryan Cavinder had an two-out, RBI-single in the second inning and Valley Christian scored its other run on a fielder’s choice in the sixth. Village Christian is 3-11, 0-6.

Bryan Sprouse (3-2) pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and Brad Rice and Graham Miller each had a home run in the fifth inning for host L.A. Baptist (13-7, 4-4). Rice had a two-run home run and Miller a solo shot. Montclair Prep is 14-9, 3-3.
