Sophomore Jason Palacios had 10 kills and juniors Matt Wade and Chris Icaza each added nine kills for Mira Costa (19-3). Icaza, an outside hitter, was named tournament MVP. Westlake setter Travis Foltz sprained his ankle in the Redondo match but came on to play well against the Mustangs. Foltz and Matt Schneider, who was the team’s kill leader, earned all-tournament honors.
