Grant Miller scored four goals and Xande Wright made 15 saves to lead No. 7 Damien at Las Flores Park in La Verne.

The Spartans (20-0), ranked No. 1 in Southern Section Division V, led, 4-1, at the half.

Bonita (14-5), ranked No. 3 in Division VI, was led by Nick Corjon with three goals. Both teams are defending Southern Section champions in their respective divisions.

Loyola 27, St. John Bosco 6
Mike Lennon tied a season-high by scoring six goals, including five in the second quarter, and James Banks had three goals for Loyola, which led 15-4 at the half. Lennon and Banks were among 13 players who scored for the Cubs (16-3), which has won six consecutive games.

Mira Costa 9, Whittier 2
Brett Lyon had three goals and Ronny Gtary had nine saves for Mira Costa (15-6). Freshman Cory Baccus scored both goals for host Whittier (8-14).

Carpinteria 24, Nordhoff 10
Erik Dearwin had nine goals and Jake Liphin added six goals for Carpinteria. Rhet Kemp, Pat Kelley, Tyler Buckingham and Ben Foley each scored twice for Nordhoff (6-14, 0-4).

Chris Hudson and Wills deVogelaere each had two goals for Oaks Christian (12-7, 2-2).

Chris Argueta and Angel Martinez each scored four goals for host Cathedral (13-1, 6-0).

Diego Dominguez scored four goals and Aaron Levefre and Stephen Blount each contributed three goals for Mission Viejo (13-11).

Eric Gobrecht had 11 saves and Jordan Watson and Matt Richardson each added a pair of goals to lead visiting Palos Verdes (13-11), ranked No. 10 in Division VI. Mike Detoy scored five for Flintridge Prep (18-6), ranked No. 7 in Division VI.

Rory Bevins had eight goals, Adam McCall had three goals and eight steals and Andrew Mesesan had 13 saves in goal for host and No. 1 Servite (17-1, 1-0).

Jean Selvon had six goals and goalie Manny Lepe had 10 saves for visiting Los Amigos (9-7). Sage Hill is 5-10.

Charlie Moore scored seven goals to lead host Loyola (15-3) over Peninsula (13-8).

Shea Buckner scored eight goals and Kyle Casagrande and Alex Churchside scored four each for Villa Park (14-9, 3-0), ranked No. 5 in Southern Section Division II. El Modena (15-3, 2-1) came into the game ranked 10th in Division II. The Spartans ran their overall record against El Modena to 31-0 in Century League play.

FREEWAY LEAGUE

La Habra 10, Sunny Hills 9
Bryce Stowell scored game-winning goal with 32 seconds remaining to lead La Habra (11-9, 3-0) over visiting Sunny Hills (2-1 in league).

Sonora 14, Fullerton 5
Alan Travis had six goals and Trent Johnson chipped in with four for host Sonora (3-0 in league). Fullerton is 0-3 in league.

Troy 9, Buena Park 5
Callum Reynolds had five goals, two steals and one assist to lead visiting Troy (5-11, 1-2). Jeff Brunner and Adrian Lopez each had two goals for Buena Park.

Sophomore Robert Bersbach had seven goals for the second consecutive match and added three assists to lead Upland (12-11, 4-1) over host Rancho Cucamonga (9-14, 2-3). Simon Joo had four goals and three assists for the Highlanders, giving him eight goals in the past two matches.

Nate Hagon scored nine goals for host San Marcos. Brian La’o scored three goals for Ventura (5-18, 0-4).

Freshman Cory Baccus scored nine and Lucas Dedmon added six goals for visiting Whittier (7-12, 2-1).

Chris Waddell scored four goals and Kent Ellis added two for host Webb (12-3, 2-1). Kit Clark had 11 saves and also had an assist for the Gauls. Poly is 9-8, 1-3.

Tyler Diamond scored four goals for visiting Royal (16-6).

Michael Bury had four goals and Clay Jorth and Bryan Auer had two apiece for visiting and No. 7 Newport Harbor (10-7), which trailed, 7-6, at halftime. Villa Park is 14-10.
