NONLEAGUE

Downey 16, California 7
Tim Aguilar scored six goals and goalie Alan Nevarez had 14 saves for host Downey (20-8), ranked No. 8 in Division III, in its regular season finale. Dustin Balke had four goals to lead California (10-14).

Long Beach Wilson 18, Irvine 4
Scott Swanson and Anthony Artukovich each had three goals and four other players had two goals each in the convincing win for the visiting Bruins (25-2), who are ranked No. 1 in the CIF Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll. Irvine is 7-20.

Millikan 11, Laguna Beach 9
Brian Mattingly had seven goals, and now has 106 goals on the season, Malcolm Reid had 10 saves and four steals and Brendan Larson had two goals to lead host Millikan (15-10) in the upset over Laguna Beach, ranked No. 10 in the Division I coaches’ poll.

BAY LEAGUE

Palos Verdes 9, Peninsula 4
Matt Richardson scored five goals and Eric Gobrecht had 10 saves for Palos Verdes (20-7, 5-2) against visting Peninsula (3-5 in league).

CHANNEL LEAGUE

Ventura 11, Buena 10
Goalie Jake Karluk made two dramatic saves in the final 10 seconds for Ventura (13-15, 3-5) as it forced a one-game playoff for the third and final spot out of the Channel League. The two teams will meet in a rematch at Buena tomorrow and the winner will advance to the Southern Section playoffs.

Buena (21-6, 3-5) had a two-on-one on its final possesion but Karluk, a sophomore, made an intital stop on a shot and blocked another on the rebound. Karluk finished with 12 saves. Brian La’o scored the first four goals for Ventura, which led 10-7 after three periods.

IVY LEAGUE

Riverside Poly 13, Arlington 5
Shawn Britton had four goals and Chris Holmblad and Colin Tewksbury each added three goals for Riverside Poly (23-6, 8-0), which won its sixth consecutive league title with a victory over Arlington. Riverside Poly, the top-ranked team in Division V, broke a 2-2 tie at the end of the first quarter by going on an 11-1 run on Arlington, ranked No. 6 in Division V.

MARMONTE LEAGUE

Agoura 6, Calabasas 3
In the final match in league play for both teams, Danny Polyakov and Brian Gross each scored two goals and freshman goalie Ryan Paris had 16 saves and three steals in the victory for Agoura (21-5, 10-2), ranked No. 4 in Div. IV. Paris has compiled 307 saves through the regular season. Calabasas is 4-8 in league.

Newbury Park 9, Thousand Oaks 8
Max Levine of Newbury Park scored his only goal with 35 seconds remaining to give the Pathers the victory and a third-place finish in league against visiting Thousand Oaks (11-14, 4-8). Goalie Justin Schwaiger had nine saves and Kyle Ripley had five goals for Newbury Park (15-12, 7-5), which clinched third place in league and a spot in the Southern Section playoffs. Thousand Oaks was led by Daniel Smith’s three goals and got two scores appiece from Kyle Knapp and Ryan Vick. Mason Miller also had seven saves for the Lancers.

Westlake 14, Moorpark 12
Duncan Shuler and Cole Olmon each scored three goals and Ryan Dutton had eight saves and seven steals for Westlake (14-11, 5-7). Moorpark ends the season 0-12 in league.

MISSION LEAGUE

Crespi 8, Alemany 7
Nick Laidig scored four goals to lead Crespi (10-15, 3-5), which clinched third place and earned the league’s final playoff berth with the victory at Alemany (2-6 in league). Crespi led, 8-5, after three quarters and held on with a defense anchored by goalie Danile Guimera’s 13 saves.

Harvard Westlake 19, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 1
Eric Vreeland had nine goals and two assists for Harvard-Westlake (22-3), ranked No. 4 in Southern Section Division I. Will Hindle-Katel added three goals and three assists for the Wolverines.

MOORE LEAGUE

Long Beach Wilson 24, Long Beach Jordan 6
Anthony Salazar, Jonathan Stevens and Ross Kovtun each scored three goals and goalie Andrew Aja had seven saves for Wilson (24-2), which had 14 players score and held Jordan scoreless through the first half.

Third place game

Muir 10, Pasadena 9 (OT)
Greg Warner had seven goals and Adam Esparza made 17 saves in goal to lead Muir past Pasadena in overtime, the second week in a row that the Mustangs (10-10, 4-3) beat the Bulldogs in overtime, to earn third and final playoff spot. Casey Holmes had three goals and Hobert Reigh had 15 saves for Pasadena (10-17, 2-5)

La Canada 16, South Pasadena 4

SAN GABRIEL VALLEY LEAGUE

Downey 25, Warren 6
Brett Forman finished with six goals, including two in the first quarter, and Frank Jimenez scored two of his five goals in the opening period for Downey at Warren.

Kurt Goodwin also scored five goals for the Vikings (19-8), ranked No. 8 in the Southern Section Division III. Downey goalie Alan Nevarez made 16 saves and three steals.

SERRA LEAGUE

Servite 23, Mater Dei 7
Rory Bevins had six goals, seven assists and three steals and Graham Bell had four goals for Servite (14-13, 3-0), which is ranked No. 3 in Southern Section Division II and clinched the league title at Servite.

SOUTH COAST LEAGUE

Mission Viejo 19, Dana Hills 3
Bryson Beardsley had eight goals, six steals and three assists and Aaron Lefevre had three goals, four assists and 11 steals for Mission Viejo (20-9, 3-2) in a regular season-ending victory over visiting Dana Hills (10-15, 1-4).

NONLEAGUE

La Serna 13, Bonita 7
Jeff Greenwood scored five goals and Derek Hingeveld had four goals for La Serna in a victory at Bonita.

Clinging to an 8-6 edge going into the fourth quarter, La Serna (24-4), ranked No. 2 in the Southern Section Division III, stretched its lead with three quick goals in the final period, including one each by Greenwood and Hingeveld.

Ryan Allred and Cameron Phillips each had two goals for Bonita (19-8-1), the top-ranked team in Division VI. Adam Hepburn made seven saves and four steals for the Bearcats.

INTERSECTIONAL

Newport Harbor 11, La Jolla The Bishop’s 6
Jovan Vranes and Nate Castillo scored three goals each and goalie Michael Robinson had 11 saves for host Newport Harbor (17-10).

FRONTIER LEAGUE

Carpenteria 6, Nordhoff 5
Eric Dearkland had three goals and a steal and Matt Dirado, Derek Kitagawa and Kevin Coopersmith each had a goal and a steal to lead Carpenteria (11-13, 1-5) at Nordhoff. The Rangers were led by Tyler Buckingham with two goals and three steals and Ben Foley with one goal, two steals and two drawn ejections.

Malibu 21, Oaks Christian 4
Nick Rollins led Malibu (23-2, 6-0) with eight goals and Kelly Jacobsen had six steals. Malibu, ranked No. 5 in Division IV, has won 23 of last 24 games. Adam Wirdak scored three goals for Oaks Christian (15-6, 4-2).

MARMONTE LEAGUE

Royal 17, Moorpark 5
Juan Camero scored four goals and goalkepper Matt Lewis stopped seven shots for Royal (23-5, 12-0), which finished undefeated in league play for the second time in five seasons.

MIRAMONTE LEAGUE

Bonita 13, Los Altos 6
Senior Ryan Allred had four goals and sophomore Brett Hayes had three goals for league-champion Bonita (19-7-1, 6-0), which is ranked No. 1 in the Division VI coaches’ poll. Aylton Yamamoto had three goals for host Los Altos (9-18, 2-4).

Foothill 22, Irvine 3
Garrett Hayes had six goals for Foothill (18-8, 5-0), which won the league title for the second consecutive season.

Newport Harbor 16, Woodbridge 5
Clay Jorth and Telford Cottam each scored four goals to lead host Newport Harbor (16-10, 4-1). Woodbridge is 2-3 in league.

SERRA LEAGUE

Santa Margarita 15, St. John Bosco 5
Julien Lormant had five goals and three steals, all in the first half, and goalkeeper Michael Connor had nine saves for second-place Santa Margarita (17-12, 2-1), ranked No. 7 in Southern Section Division II. The Braves finished 0-3 in league.

NONLEAGUE

Cerritos 21, Los Amigos 9
Dan Biag had a season-high eight goals, junior Chris Kim had four goals and goalie Steve Laos had 13 saves to lead for host Cerritos (20-5), which is the No. 10-ranked team in the Division III coaches’ poll.

Manny Lepe had six goals for Los Amigos.

BAY LEAGUE

Peninsula 14, Torrance 4

DEL RIO LEAGUE

Whittier 25, Santa Fe 7
Sophomore Cory Baccus had seven goals and sophomore Cody Calleros added five to lead Whittier (16-10, 4-1) to a big win at Santa Fe. Baccus ends the regular season with 113 goals, an average of 4.35 per game.

Whittier finished second to La Serna in league play and will make the playoffs. Santa Fe fell to 1-4 in league.

EMPIRE LEAGUE

Placentia Valencia 13, Loara 5
Valencia, which tied for the league title last year with Cypress, clinched it outright this season as Bobby Mack had four goals, five steals and assisted on two goals to lead the Tigers at home. Cameron Glassman added three goals, three assists and three steals for Valencia, which finished 7-1 in league.

Loara finished 6-2 in league and will advance to the playoffs.

GARDEN GROVE LEAGUE

Los Amigos 21, Bolsa Grande 3
Chris Paez scored five goals and had five steals, Manny Lepe had three goals, four assists and three steals and Adam Sarmiento had four goals, five assists and three steals for third-place Los Amigos (9-14, 2-2). Bolsa Grande dropped to 4-16, 1-4.

Garden Grove 6, Rancho Alamitos 5
Cory Busby scored five of his team’s six goals, including the game-winner with 14 seconds left, to give Garden Grove (16-12, 5-0) the league title.

Trailing, 5-4, early in the fourth quarter, Busby also tied the score with 3:23 to go. Busby scored the final five goals for the Argonauts, who also got a score from Ali Landeros. Zach Schumacker had three goals for Rancho Alamitos.

Westminster La Quinta 12, Garden Grove Pacifica 9
Ameer Ali scored a match-high six goals to lead La Quinta to the victory at Golden West College. La Quinta improved to 2-3 in league. Joe Smith scored four goals for Pacifica (1-19, 0-5).

GOLDEN WEST LEAGUE

Costa Mesa 16, Estancia 1
Kyle Thorsness had seven goals to lead the Mustangs (18-5, 6-0) to an unbeaten season in league play.

MARMONTE LEAGUE

Agoura 13, Moorpark 5
Danny Polyakov had four goals, three assists and three steals and Nick Rimmele and Justin Kovanis had two goals apiece for Agoura (20-5, 9-2).

Newbury Park 10, Calabasas 3
Goalie Justin Schwaiger made 19 saves and Billy Doherty scored four goals in leading Newbury Park (14-12, 6-5) to a key victory at home. With the win, Newbury Park clinched third place and qualified for the postseason. Sean Roberts scored all three goals for Calabasas.

Royal 11, Thousand Oaks 5
Tyler McClure had three goals and four assists and goalie Matt Lewis had 12 saves in the win for visiting Royal (22-5, 11-0) at Westlake High School. The Highlanders, who are ranked No. 1 in Division IV, won the Marmonte League championship for the 20th time and the first time since 2000.

Kyle Knapp had two goals and Mason Miller had 12 saves for Thousand Oaks (11-13, 4-7), which could still finish third in the league with a victory over Newbury Park in its regular-season finale on Thursday.

MISSION LEAGUE

Loyola 16, Crespi 12
Mike Lennon scored five goals, Forest Monroe, Kevin Kuhn and Phil McMorrow each had three goals and D.J. Armitage made nine saves for Loyola (17-9) in a regular-season finale at Loyola.

Brock Roverud had four goals to lead Crespi.

SERRA LEAGUE

Santa Margarita 16, Mater Dei 7
Julien Lormant had five goals, all in the first half , to go with four steals and two assists, while Alex Rogers added three goals and Nick Shorr and John Nuccio each had two goals for Santa Margarita (16-12, 1-1) in a victory over Mater Dei (10-9, 1-1) at Santa Ana College.

Ayala 21, Chino Hills 6Josh Garcia scored eight goals and Srdan Milic added five goals for Ayala (19-7, 2-2), which is ranked fifth in Division V.

SUNBELT LEAGUE

Hemet 11, Elsinore 10
Chris Paight had three goals to lift Hemet (16-9, 7-0) to its 11th league title in 12 years. Sean Moser had five goals, three in the fourth quarter, and Mike DeLaney had four goals for Elsinore, which dropped to 5-2 in league.

NONLEAGUE

Cerritos 18, St. John Bosco 10
Sophomore Dan Biag scored six goals and junior Torrrance Lee had five for Cerritos (18-5). Ben O’Connor and Odalis Olivera had three goals apiece for Bosco.

La Canada 17, El Segundo 7
Scott Burns had seven goals and Jordan Thompson added five goals as La Canada, ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section Division III, topped El Segundo, the second-ranked team in Division VI, in a game at La Canada.

La Canada, which also got three goals by Matt Blatchley and 14 saves from goalie Kevin Coyne, scored five goals in each of the last three quarters to break open a 2-2 game.

Steve Homeyer had three goals, sophomore Josh Combs had two goals and Alex Heck and Cameron Hughes each scored once for El Segundo (21-7).

Mission Viejo 14, Long Beach Millikan 8
Aaron Lefevre had seven goals to lead host Mission Viejo (19-9), which is ranked No. 8 in the Division I. The Diablos play Dana Hills Thursday and with a victory Mission Viejo will finish third in the South Coast League and earn a trip to the CIF Southern Section playoffs.

Newport Harbor 16, Capistrano Valley 5
Brett Auer, Jovan Vranes and Nate Castillo scored four goals apiece for Newport Harbor (15-10), which bolted to a 5-0 first-quarter lead.

Brett Hays had four goals and Mark Kenegos added three goals for host Bonita (18-6-1, 5-0), which led 8-0 at the half, and clinched the league title outright with the victory. Wilson is 9-13, 0-5 in league.

Cameron Hughes had eight first-half goals, bringing his total to 92 goals in 25 games, for visiting El Segundo (21-6, 8-0), which is ranked No. 2 in the Division VI coaches’ poll. Culver City is 4-15, 0-7.

San Marino 13, Temple City 12
Junior goalkeeper Terence Tsai had 19 saves and six steals and sophomore Thomas Lazzarini had three goals and three assists to lead San Marino (9-16, 2-4) past visiting Temple City (1-6 in league). Bryant Mork and Truman So each had four goals and James Goh had four assists for San Marino and Justin Coy had six goals to pace Temple City.

NONLEAGUE

Anaheim Canyon 17, Garden Grove 15 (OT)
Canyon outscored Garden Grove, 4-2, in the overtime period to earn the victory at home. Adam Torrey and Cory Busby each scored five goals for Garden Grove (14-13). Canyon is 12-10.

Mater Dei 9, Estancia 5
Ojan Mirhashemi had four goals Brendan O’ Hara added three goals for Mater Dei 9-7. Scott Hewlitt scored two goals for host Estancia.
