Obama portraits: In an art column in the Feb. 14 Calendar section about paintings of Barack and Michelle Obama on view at the National Portrait Gallery, Amy Sherald’s portrait of Michelle Obama was inadvertently printed with natural skin tones rather than Sherald’s trademark gray-scale, reminiscent of black-and-white photography.

State Democratic convention: In the Feb. 27 California section, an article about how the #MeToo movement affected the California Democratic Party convention quoted Assemblyman Rob Bonta (D-Alameda) as saying men need “to stand in solidarity with men.” He said men need “to stand in solidarity with women.”
