Police searching for suspect in fatal shooting in Orange

Police continue to search for a woman suspected of shooting and killing another woman Thursday afternoon in Orange.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of East Palmrya Avenue about 3:30 p.m. Thursday and found Jennifer Solorio, 44, on a sidewalk near an apartment complex, according to the Orange Police Department. Paramedics took Solorio to an area trauma center, but she later died.
Investigators have identified the suspect as Jessica Gonzalez, 35, of Santa Ana. KABC-TV (Channel 7) reported the Solorio and Gonzalez had been in a relationship for 13 years.
Gonzalez, who was described as being 5 foot 5 and weighing 90 pounds, was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black long-sleeved shirt. She was considered armed and dangerous, police said.
The shooting remained under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Det. Scott Trausch at (714) 936-1204.
