Baseball: Cameron Deere hits two home runs, gets six RBI for Harvard-Westlake

Harvard-Westlake is rolling. The Wolverines improved to 6-0 on Saturday, getting a pair of three-run home runs from Cameron Deere in a 12-0 win over Dos Pueblos. Gabe Golob, Jesse Bergin and Matt Beyer combined on a no-hitter.

San Clemente 5, Dana Hills 4: In the championship game of the Loara tournament, Will Tribucher ended the game with a bases loaded single in the ninth, handing Dana Hills its first defeat.

JSerra 13-7, Loyola 2-2: The top-ranked Lions opened their season with doubleheader sweep. In the first game, Brady Shockey had three hits, Jake Pries had three RBI and Royce Lewis added three hits, including a home run. Shockey added two hits and three RBI in the second game.

Crescenta Valley 13, Highland 2: Kewin Ledesma had three hits for the Falcons.

Cleveland 4-3, Crespi 3-11: The Celts ended Cleveland’s six-game winning streak in the second game. In the first game, Ben Kaser got the save for Cleveland. Jesse Burke hit three doubles for Crespi and Chris May had three hits.

Alemany 5-8, Canyon Country Canyon 6-2: Chris Ligot had two hits and four RBI in the second-game win for the Warriors (5-2).

Temescal Canyon 9, Arlington 2: Matt Tamazin went three for three in the championship game of the Redlands Invitational. Devin McKesson hit two home runs and drove in four runs. Dylan Alhanati threw a complete game.

Hamilton 4, Temple City 2: Dalton Blumenfeld had a two-run single to help the Yankees win the Arcadia Elks tournament championship game.

South Hills 4, Los Osos 3: South Hills prevailed by scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth. Marcos Campos had three hits.

Glendora 2-2, Upland 1-6: Left-hander Austin Isenhart improved to 3-0, throwing a three-hitter with six strikeouts and zero walks in the first game. Nick Kaye went four for six on the day for Glendora. In the second game, Chad Plant threw six innings for Upland. Jeff Cross had three hits and three RBI.

Corona Santiago 4-4, Hart 3-2: Ryan Williams, Ryon Knowles and Jacob Shanks each had two hits in the first game for the Sharks (7-0). In the second game, Knowles, Jesse Rivera, Brice Turang and Adrian Melendez had two hits apiece.

Edison 1, Villa Park 0: Edison won the consolation title of the Loara tournament.

Santa Margarita 3, El Modena 1: Jared Witt had two RBI and Nick Wallace added another RBI for the Eagles (4-1).

Vista Murrieta 6, Servite 5: Jack Moberg’s RBI double in the seventh was the key hit. He finished with three RBI.

Village Christian 7, Granada Hills 2: Chris Davidson struck out seven and walked none in a complete game. He also had two hits and two RBI.

Orange Lutheran 3, Damien 2: Josh Bissonette had the walk-off hit in the ninth to deliver victory for the Lancers. Garrett Calvert and Zachary Lew each had three hits.

Long Beach Wilson 12, La Palma Kennedy 8: Chris Betts had three hits and two RBI and Jacob Barham added three hits and three RBI.

Great Oak 5, Mt. Carmel 3: Logan Morrison contributed two RBI and Brock Kocaya added two hits for Great Oak.

El Dorado 6, Yorba Linda 0: Nick Sprengel struck out nine in five innings.

Aliso Niguel 9, Cypress 2: Zak Nocon pitched Aliso Niguel to victory.

North Hollywood 8, Franklin 0: Leo Ortega threw the shutout. Victor Meza, Chris Lung and Ryan Ruiz each had multiple hits.

St. Francis 5, Burbank 3: Paul Mendoza threw five scoreless innings in the final of three games that St. Francis played on Saturday. The day started with a 6-5 win over La Salle. Then came a 4-0 loss to Arcadia.

Anaheim Canyon 10, Sonora 3: The Comanches picked up their first win.

Mira Costa 13, Carson 1: Trevor Frank (3-0) got the win for Mira Costa.

Gardena Serra 2, Oaks Christian 1: Dane Morrow had four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for Oaks Christian. CJ Fernandezees threw a one-hitter for Serra.

Burroughs 3, Cathedral 0: Danny Bustos threw a four-hit shutout.

Banning 10, Torrance 3: Michael Ramirez threw the complete game. Anthony Valadez, TJ Louviere, Gabe Ruiz, Jason Yanez and Anthony Vela had two hits apiece.

Bishop Amat 5, Foothill 3: Jayson Gonzalez had three hits for Bishop Amat.
