Baseball: Corona Santiago only misses extra point in 16-4 win over Corona Centennial

You know it’s not football season when Corona Santiago is beating up on Corona Centennial. The Sharks cruised to a 16-4 baseball win over Centennial in a Big VIII League game on Friday.
Sophomore Brice Turang had three hits and three RBIs. Michael Muro had a home run, single and six RBIs.
Corona 6, Roosevelt 4: The Panthers picked up the Big VIII League win. Michael Hobbs threw a complete game.
Culvery City 12, Anaheim 0: Michael Netzel had a triple and three-run home run. Max Sterner allowed three hits in six innings.
North 9, Gahr 3: Christian Koss contributed three hits and four RBIs and Tony Bullard, Shane Martinez and Manny Galvan each had two hits to lead North.
Bonita 13, Diamond Bar 0: A.J. Woodall threw five shutout innings in a Palomares League game.
Glendora 15, Claremont 0: Jake Gaudet allowed one hit in six innings and Jacob Nemeth went four for five with three RBIs, including a double and triple.
South Hills 5, Ayala 1: Quinn Cotter hit a grand slam and Aaron Fong and Chris Moya each had two hits for South Hills.
Long Beach Poly 8, Long Beach Jordan 0: Freshman Chris Murphy had a two-run triple and is eight for eight in his two Moore League games.
Long Beach Millikan 2, Long Beach Wilson 1: Millikan got a walk-off hit in the seventh for the Moore League win.
Milken 7, de Toledo 1: Aaron Lawrence and Joe Paller combined on a four-hitter to help Milken win its first league game in three years.
