Baseball: First-place showdown between Burroughs and Crescenta Valley
First place in the Pacific League will be on the line Friday night when Burroughs (18-4, 8-1) faces Crescenta Valley (18-3, 8-1) at 7 p.m. at Stengel Field.
These two teams met earlier this season and Burroughs prevailed, 1-0.
The advantage is with Burroughs, which has ace Thomas Wilson rested and ready to go. Crescenta Valley had to use its ace, Brian Gadsby, for more than five innings on Tuesday, so the Falcons will have to turn to another pitcher at some point.
