Baseball: Nick Pratto throws shutout on his 18th birthday to lead USA 18U team

Nick Pratto of Huntington Beach celebrated his 18th birthday on Thursday by throwing a seven-inning shutout to lead the USA 18U team past Brazil, 10-0, at the COPABE Pan American “AAA” Championships in Monterrey, Mexico.
He struck out 10, walked none and allowed two hits. USA remains the only unbeaten team in the tournament.
Hagen Danner, the teammate of Pratto at Huntington Beach, had an RBI double.
USA is 7-0 and finishes regulation play against Mexico on Friday. The semifinals will be Saturday.
