Baseball: Venice advances at RBI tournament

The Venice RBI 15U team won the regional championship on Sunday at Angels Stadium.
Jay Sterner, who will be a junior at Culver City, threw a complete game and had three RBIs. Hunter Greene, who will be a freshman at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, also has been a key contributor for the team. Isaiah Flowers from Redondo had three hits.
The Venice senior team also advances to Minnesota after Loyola’s Nathan Hadley threw a complete-game four-hitter in a 2-1 victory.
