Boys’ basketball: Windward, Sierra Canyon advance to Gold Coast League final

Normans and fans celebrate win over Santa Monica

Windward will face Sierra Canyon on Thursday night at Viewpoint in the championship game of the Gold Coast League tournament.

Windward defeated Brentwood, 55-41, in Tuesday’s semifinals. Wonder Smith scored 13 points. Sierra Canyon defeated Campbell Hall, 70-44. Deveral Ramsey had 17 points and Adam Seiko 14. In a consolation game, Viewpoint defeated McAuliffe, 76-46. Miye Oni had 20 points and 13 rebounds.

In the Ocean League, Beverly Hills clinched the championship with a 56-40 win over Santa Monica. Ryan Manoocheri made four threes and finished with 14 points.

Etiwanda defeated Chino Hills, 79-61, in a Baseline League game. Kameron Edwards had 25 points. Damien clinched at least a share of the league title with a 78-45 win over Los Osos. Rancho Cucamonga defeated Upland, 66-64. Tamer Jabsheh and and Blaker Fisher each scored 14 points.

In the Trinty League, Rex Pflueger had 23 points to help Mater Dei clinch anothe rleague championship with a 72-58 win over St. John Bosco. Orange Lutheran defeated Santa Margarita, 59-56. Joseph Riley scored 17 points and Keisean Lucier-South had 14. Kaden Rasheed had 23 points for Santa Margarita. Cameron Griffin had 22 points in Servite’s 66-63 win over JSerra.

Buckley defeated Milken, 74-31. Austin Butler had 17 points and 14 rebounds. Mike Meadows had 19 points and Kihel Clark 17.

In the Foothill League, Valencia clinched at least a share of the league title with an 80-57 win over Canyon. Dakota Abbott had 20 points. Hart defeated Golden Valley, 85-46. West Ranch defeated Saugus, 62-58.

In the Marmonte League, Thousand Oaks took a big step toward winning the title with a 60-56 win over Oaks Christian. Matt Hauser finished with 20 points. Derek Ludlow added 12. Westlake defeated Calabasas, 48-45. Isaiah Brooks had 19 points. Conner Longmire led Calabasas with 14. Agoura defeated Newbury Park, 47-32.

Foothill captured the Crestview championship with a 63-58 win over Esperanza. Riley O’Hearn had 15 points and Reed Nakakihara added 14 points. Jarrett Brodbeck led Esperanza with 25 points.

Redondo clinched at least a share of the Bay League championshop with a 64-37 win over Palos Verdes. Morgan Means scored 16 points.

In the Golden League, Highland clinched at least a share of the title with a 69-51 win over Eastside. Dominic Gully had 24 points.
