Cross country: Girls are in the spotlight at state championships on Saturday
The CIF state cross country championships are set for Saturday morning at Woodward Park in Fresno, and it’s the girls who will be getting most of the focus.
Sarah Baxter of Simi Valley will be trying to remain unbeaten in her four-year prep career and win a fourth consecutive individual title racing in Division II.
Marissa Williams of Palisades will try to give the City Section an individual champion racing in Division I.
In the boys’ ranks, David Luna of Indio has been scorching up courses in Division III.
