The word around Loyola is that the Cubs can’t wait to show off sophomore running back Drake Beasley.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder was a star for the freshman team last season, and in a varsity intrasquad scrimmage on Friday, he was pounding the ball with speed and power.
Beasley and senior David Cooper give the Cubs an imposing one-two punch. If the offensive line can be effective, beware.
