Football: Long Beach Poly ends its easy games with matchup against IMG Academy

Long Beach Poly has been making its Moore League football games look more like scrimmages.

There was 77-0 over Cabrillo; 70-0 over Compton; 76-6 over Jordan, and 77-6 over Lakewood last week.

The Jackrabbits (6-2) get back to playing a tough opponent on Friday night when Florida’s IMG Academy comes back to town. IMG is 7-0 and earlier this season came to California and defeated Corona Centennial, 50-49.

It’s a great regular season matchup for Poly, which will begin the Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Nov. 11.
