Football: Marlon Moorer of Rancho Verde can tell bus driver how to get to L.A. Cathedral

The Southern Section Division 3 quarterfinal game matching Rancho Verde and host L.A. Cathedral on Friday night will give Rancho Verde running back Marlon Moorer the opportunity to tell the bus driver how to get to Cathedral.
That’s because Moorer, who has rushed for more than 1,500 yards this season for Rancho Verde, was an all-league middle linebacker for Cathedral last season and third-string running back.
But he has become a major offensive contributor at Ranch Verde, whose coach is Jeff Steinberg, the former head coach at Corona Santiago.
Moorer had 178 yards rushing against Oak Hills and 170 yards against Redondo, among others.
He’ll know most of Cathedral’s players who will have to tackle him this time.
