Football: Pasadena Poly is off to 5-0 start

Long Beach Poly isn’t the only team named Poly doing well in football this season.
Pasadena Poly is 5-0 after a 43-24 win over St. Genevieve that featured a 30-minute delay for lightning.
Griffin Carter, a senior running back, is averaging 11.5 yards a carry with 704 yards and nine touchdowns.
Quarterback Parker Mathews has passed for 705 yards and nine touchdowns.
Linebacker Nick McConnell leads the defense with 35 tackles, including three sacks.
