Track: Another record day for Curtis Godin of Mater Dei

The state track and field championships are a little more than a month away, and Curtis Godin of Santa Ana Mater Dei keeps turning in top performances no matter where he is running.

At the Orange County championships on Saturday at Mission Viejo, the UCLA-bound Godin set meet records in winning the 100 in 10.53 seconds and the 200 in 21.09.

David Bean of Orange Lutheran won the pole vault at 15-9.

Mater Dei’s Ashlyn Rambo set a meet record in winning the 800 in 2:09.01. Santa Margarita’s Kaitlyn Merritt set a meet record in winning the pole vault at 13-9.

Mater Dei’s Emma Radan set a meet record in the 300 hurdles in 43.32.
