The New York Mets said they have no plans to shut down Matt Harvey and expect their ace to make four more regular-season starts and assume a “reasonable workload” during the playoffs.

Harvey missed last season recovering from Tommy John surgery, and his health came into question after he became dehydrated during his latest start Wednesday. The right-hander is 12-7 with a 2.60 ERA and has thrown 166 1/3 innings for the NL East leaders.

“We’re very comfortable we the fact that we’ve had a plan that has involved the doctors all the way through,” said John Ricco, the Mets’ assistant general manager. “To this point they’re still fine with that plan. We all think it’s a reasonable way to go.”

Harvey underwent blood tests following his bout with dehydration and was cleared to make his next scheduled start Tuesday against Washington. He was en route to Miami on Friday night to join the Mets for their series against the Marlins.

Teixeira on DL

The New York Yankees put first baseman Mark Teixeira on the 15-day disabled list because of a bruised right shin. Teixeira, who hasn’t played since Aug. 26, leads the team with 31 homers.

Etc.

Cleveland scratched ace Corey Kluber from his start against Detroit and said the 2014 Cy Young Award winner would miss at least one more start because of a strained right hamstring. . . . Chicago Cubs rookie Kyle Schwarber will miss at least 3-5 days because a mild right rib cage strain. . . . Houston activated outfielder George Springer, who hasn’t played since July 2 because of a right wrist fracture. . . . Baltimore put starting pitcher Miguel Gonzalez on the DL because of right shoulder tendinitis.
