NFL Sunday night spotlight: Cowboys at Falcons

Story line: Dallas has lost three of its last four and needs a win to pull out of spiral toward major disappointment. Last week, quarterback Tony Romo threw four interceptions, marring a massive rally from a 23-point deficit that fell short when wide receiver Dez Bryant’s finger was out of bounds late. Bryant might play against the unbeaten Falcons, but running back DeMarco Murray is out. The Falcons rolled Philadelphia last week, as quarterback Matt Ryan was 22 of 29 with three touchdowns.

Cowboys said: “They can run the ball and they’re pretty balanced with the run and the pass. They’ve got a good quarterback over there who can stretch the field.” — cornerback Morris Claiborne.

Falcons said: “They have weapons all over the field. We’ve been in enough situations where we understand that you’re going to face great receivers on certain Sundays. We feel like we’ve faced a lot so far.” — cornerback Dunta Robinson.
