Nevada falls to South Florida in final minute

South Florida 32, at Nevada 31: B.J. Daniels threw for 363 yards and three touchdowns, including a 56-yard scoring pass to Andre Davis with 38 seconds left in the game, to help the Bulls (2-0) come from behind to beat the Wolf Pack (1-1) at Reno. Daniels also threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to Davis, who finished with 12 catches for 191 yards, and a 52-yard score to Chris Dunkley with 2:37 remaining for South Florida (2-0), which trailed 21-6 in the opening quarter. Cody Fajardo passed for 271 yards and a touchdown and ran for 134 yards and two scores for Nevada (1-1), which upset California last week.

at San Diego State 42, Army 7: The Aztecs (1-1) scored three touchdowns in a span of 2:45 in the third quarter, capped by Colin Lockett’s 96-yard kickoff return, and bounced back from an opening loss to Washington by overwhelming the Cadets.

North Dakota State 22, at Colorado State 7: Sam Ojuri scored two touchdowns and Marcus Williams accumulated 135 yards on five kick returns and also had an interception as the reigning Football Championship Subdivision national champion Bison (2-0) stifled the Rams (1-1) at Fort Collins, Colo.

at San Jose State 45, UC Davis 13: De’Leon Eskridge rushed for 130 yards and three touchdowns, and David Fales passed for 271 yards and a touchdown as the Spartans (1-1) routed the Aggies.

at Brigham Young 45, Weber State 13: Riley Nelson passed for 244 yards and a touchdown before sitting out the second half, when the Cougars (2-0) substituted liberally in an easy win at Provo, Utah.

Toledo 34, at Wyoming 31: Terrance Owens passed for 300 yards and four touchdowns, and the Rockets (1-1) rolled up 504 yards and converted three Cowboys turnovers into 17 points to win a freewheeling game at Laramie, Wyo.

Menlo 41, at Pomona-Pitzer 13: Michael Alexander’s 42-yard touchdown gave the Oaks the lead for good with 11:46 left in the third quarter, and short touchdown runs by Vince Snyder and Jake Fohn put the game out of reach as the Sagehens lost their season opener. Menlo rushed for 294 yards. Freshman Brett Harper rushed for 66 yards and caught six passes for 61 yards for Pomona.
