Look out NFL, Adrian Peterson has had another surgery, which means he will probably play even better next season.

The Minnesota Vikings running back and NFL MVP had surgery for a sports hernia Thursday.

The Vikings made the announcement on their website and say they “expect a speedy recovery with no long-term concerns.”

Peterson returned from a torn ACL, an injury that has ended some careers, to rush for 2,097 yards last season, the second-highest total in NFL history.

He was bothered by an abdominal injury for the last month of the season and sat out the fourth quarter against Houston in December, which probably kept him from breaking Eric Dickerson’s record of 2,105 yards.
