LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and 12 rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs beat the similarly short-handed Memphis Grizzlies, 110-104, Friday night to match the best home start in league history with their 37th victory in a row.

San Antonio’s streak tied the season-opening mark set by the Chicago Bulls in 1995-96 during their record 72-victory season. The Spurs have won 46 consecutive regular-season games at home, dating to March 2015.

The Golden State Warriors, who at 65-7 are bidding to break the Bulls’ 72-win record, are 34-0 at home this season and could match or pass the Spurs’ home achievement.

at Houston 112, Toronto 109: James Harden had his third triple-double this season with 32 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds, and the Rockets snapped a three-game losing streak to move back into sole possession of eighth place in the Western Conference.

Minnesota 132, at Washington 129 (2 OT): Karl-Anthony Towns had 27 points and 10 rebounds, and the Timberwolves dealt a blow to the Wizards’ playoff hopes. Washington, 10th in the East, fell 3 1/2 games behind Detroit for the final playoff spot.

at Detroit 112, Charlotte 105: Andre Drummond had 18 points and 14 rebounds and the Pistons won their fifth straight, good for a two-game lead over Chicago for eighth in the East.

at Miami 108, Orlando 97: Hassan Whiteside had 26 points, 12 rebounds and five blocked shots for the Heat.

at Atlanta 101, Milwaukee 90: Jeff Teague scored 12 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and the Hawks (43-30) moved a season-high 13 games over .500.
