GALAXY VS. COLORADO RAPIDS

When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday PDT.

Where: StubHub Center.

On the air: TV: TWCSportsNet, TWCDeportes; Radio: 980, 1330.

Records: Galaxy 3-2-3, Rapids 1-2-5.

Record vs. Rapids (2014): 2-1-0.

Update: Marcelo Sarvas came back to Los Angeles this week but not in a Rapids uniform as anticipated. Instead, the former Galaxy midfielder returned to have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, a procedure that will keep him on the sidelines at least a month. The Galaxy will also be short-handed Saturday. Forward Robbie Keane is expected to sit out a fourth consecutive game because of a strained groin, and midfielder Jose Villarreal is out because of a hamstring injury. Teenager Bradford Jamieson stepped up in their absence last week, scoring his first Major League Soccer goal in a 1-1 draw with the New York Red Bulls. Also working in the Galaxy’s favor is that this game is at home, where the team has a 26-match unbeaten streak dating to last year’s season opener. The Rapids are on a three-game winless streak.
